buy an ambi M16 jig from quell tech

Don’t buy an ambi M16 jig from quell tech and an eighth inch drill bit and hundreds of M16 parts kits and pocket cut lowers unless you are an 02 07 lol

Got this during its sale as a cheaper lower just to have around for any potential future builds. At the $60 price it stands up pretty well among others at that range such as psa and anderson lowers. However at its normal price point of $100 it doesn’t hold a candle to what you could get in that price range. My Aero m4e1 lower build cost around that during a sale and its build process went significantly smoother and it came with extra benefits such as flared magwell and built in trigger guard. At $60 buy with confidence, if that price goes further up, then just save up more money and grab one of the better lowers Big Tex offers. 4 stars at $60, 2 stars at $100

It’s an M16 trigger pocket forged lower. It does not have 3 fire positions engraved, only safe a semi- “fire” engraved. The other issue I take with this lower is at the safety selector bore.
Allen Arms apparently hogs it all out at the same depth, meaning the safety selector barrel only rides in the support of the wall thickness of the right side of receiver. What would normally be all the internal material that also surrounds that part of the safety selector barrel is gone.
Is it adequate? Maybe. Is it also pointless to mill a M16 trigger pocket this way? Yes, very much. It isn’t a best practice. My ultimate take… find a better M16 lower that’s been properly milled.
